30/09/08 Website update
Regularly, Laura and Holger have the kindness to translate into Italian and German the news I put on-line. One thank you to them!
Two websites to be visited...
That of the Nicolas Pouleau, a nice triathlete of Normandy I met when he came to train and work, this Summer, in the good air of Haute Maurienne!;-)
The Andrea Henkel's fanclub. Jörg, one of the members, came for the World Championship of Summer Biathlon in Bessans and made great photos which I shall put on-line soon!
29/09/08 World Championship of Summer Biathlon in Bessans
This week of competitions was good for the French team, with 14 medals!
As for me, I realize nice Championships by ending 7th of the sprint with 10/10 in the shooting and 6th of the pursuit with the 2nd time in skiing!
I had some pressure because I was at home, but I did my best to be present on these two races, of which am satisfied.
These Championships also marked the end of the big block of the Summer training.
I am now going to take a little rest. Then all the women team will meet in Prémanon first, in Germany then, to go on preparing this Winter season!
01/09/08 Reception in honour of Cédric Paty and Daniel Narcisse
Daniel Narcisse and Cédric Paty, both players of Chambéry Savoy Handball awarded a gold medal gold in Pekin Olympic Games. They were celebrated in Chambéry today. A festive evening, with two great champions !
Bravo to them and to the rest of the team!

31/08/08Assessment of the training course in Bessans
Another very good training course, under the sun!
The groups of training A and B were present, plus some members of the German male team and several committees.
The shape is good, the morale also... For summarising, everything is well!
The next training course will take place in Les Plans d'Hotonnes, from September 15th. It will end with the French championships of Summer biathlon which will be used as a selection for the World championships of Summer biathlon, from 22 till 28 September in Bessans.
Waiting, I go on training alone in Bessans !

30/07/08 Assessment of the training course in Norway
These two Norwegian weeks were great because of the good weather, the magnificent landscapes, my progress in ski wheels and in shooting, a good physical shape...
Thanks to Frode for his reception! Some photos here.
The races of the "Blink festival" were very nice, with an enthusiast public !
An outline on this link (episode 1 and 2: last year; " 25.07.08": this year).
After some resting days, I go on training alone in Haute Maurienne, waiting for the next training course which will take place in Bessans from 18 till 27 August.

15/06/08 Some news !
First of all, sorry for this long silence... At the moment, with intensive classes and trainings, my days are full-full and I have not enough time to update my website!
About my studies : this 2nd year in the IUT of Annecy takes place well, except that timetables are very very heavy (even too much!).
it is often necessary to choose between school and training, and it is not easy!
After May dedicated to a fresh start in wheel-skiing, cycling and running, I began again, in June, the "musculation" : a special training for muscles, which is different of what is called in France "body building"!
For that, I have just purchased a "karachov" or "arm machine" : a special apparatus which recreates the arms'movement in skiing.
Here it is, face and profile.
Next week, the French Biathlon Team will have his first Summer training in Boulouris, near St Raphaël, in the Mediterranee seaside...
But the sea has to be merited! We shall go there in 3 days, cycling from Grenoble, via Briançon and Barcelonette!
More news here when coming back!

19/04/08 End of the biathlon season
The end of the season took place in Bessans last Saturday. This meeting was the occasion to assess results of the club, from the youngest boys and girls, up to the seniors, in alpine skiing, nordic skiing and in biathlon.
It was also the occasion to speak about my season, and to share good moments with the club and all the people of Bessans who were there..
Many thanks to the Municipality, to the Tourist Office of Bessans, and to the "Bessans Sports Star" club for this nice reception!
See here a video on my season.

March 2008
29-30/03/08 French championships
The French championships of cross-country skiing and biathlon took place in "Les Saisies" on March 29th and 30th, under a beautiful sun. The program, in biathlon, was a mixed relay by committees (geographical areas) and a mass start.
The relay:
It consisted, for the Savoy, of Delphine Perretto, Vincent Jay, Alexis Boeuf and me.
Delphine makes a beautiful race, without pickaxe, and gives me the relay in 4th position, very close to the first ones.
My relay is also very good : in shooting, I realize my first 10/10 of the season (!) what makes me finish in first position. I give the relay to Vincent, with a good advance on the following ones.
The boys then manage to keep this place up to the finishing line.
Savoy is thus French Champion of mixed relay!
The mass start:
The first tour was rather laborious: one of my sticks did not resist to the jostling of the departure, and I arrive at the shooting range in 8th position!
With 10/10 in my two prone shootings, I arrive in first position at the first standing shooting, together with Marie-Laure Brunet. I go out always in first position with a new 5/5, while Marie-Laure makes a tour on the penalty loop.
Regrettably, I make two faults on my last two balls in the last standing shooting. I thus lose my advance and go out of the penalty loop at the same time as Marie-Laure. The running ends in a sprint where I finish 2nd, at 2 seconds.
I get the title of "senior French Champion"
, ending the season in beauty!
Nice photos on Eric Michel's website.
18/03/08 Return from Oslo, and assessment
The last races of the season took place in Oslo, in spring conditions. With three penalties in the sprint, I end beyond the 60th place, what closes me the doors of the pursuit.
This season, I made too many faults in shooting to hope to pick up good places, notably in sprints. On the other hand, I progressed in ski, entered several times "in the points", in spite of my penalties. And when the shooting was good, I was able to enter the top 15 (14th in the individual of Pokljuka, with 19/20).
I also participated in several relays, with which I got my first podia (2nd in the relay of Oberhof and 3rd in the mixed relay of Peyong Chang).
The assessment of this first complete season in the Biathlon World Cup is thus positive, and the more difficult moments I met this Winter will make me stronger for the next years!
If World Cups ended, the season is not finished at all! On March 29th and 30th will take place the French championships! The biathlon and the cross-country skiing French Teams will meet in a great feast in "Les Saisies". Come numerous!

Khanty Mansiysk
7/03/08 Khanty
The site of Kanthy-Mansiysk is really attractive. We live just a step from the stadium, tracks are varied, with parts in forest. Numerous spectators come every day to encourage us, it is very nice.
The sprint: after a beautiful prone shooting, I miss my last two bullets, what leaves me far in the classification (46th). But even if the result is not good, I find positive points, notably in skiing.
I was more regular on the 3 buckles, by winning a lot of time on the flat parts and the relaunchings. In shooting, the mental was good, it must continue in this direction for the pursuit of Saturday!
2/03/08 Small assessment of the week in Korea:
The sprint: 8/10, I miss the last bullet of every shooting. In ski I made a beautiful first buckle and I stuck over the end. The track is very difficult for me who feel easier in flats. I end 38th.
The pursuit: I begin without any fault, then a fault in the second and in the third shooting. Regrettably, I miss two targets in the last shooting, what costs me a place "in the points". I end 31th, 3 seconds behind the 30th place!
In ski, I held three buckles in a good rhythm, and it was a little harder over the end but when I was doubled by a girl, I managed to follow her... Even in ski, the mental is as important as the rest!
On this sprint and this pursuit, the Frenchwomen got nice races, in particular Sandrine and Marie-Laure. Bravo to them! Sansan takes the red number of the sprint and the pursuit, besides the leader's yellow number of the World cup!
The mixed relay: the team consisted of Julie (Carraz), Simon (Fourcade), Alexis (Boeuf)) and me. Julie took the departure and gave me the relay in one minute of the head. With three extra bullets (1 in prone and 2 in standing), I maintain the distance and gave the relay to Simon who, after a magnificent running, got to the second place, at about thirty seconds of the head.
The last relay was great, with the first 5 teams side by side in the last shooting. Alexis, with a single extra bullet, followed to the best biathletes and crossed the arrival in the third position, 4 seconds behind the Norwegian and 0,1 second behind the Italian! Bravo the boys!
This 3rd place ends our Korean week in beauty!
Tomorrow, direction Kanthy-Mansiysk in Russia!
February 2008
27/02/08 Pyeongchang, first impressions
An endless journey: 13 hours of wait at the airport of Oslo before embarking for a dozen hours of flight, then multiple controls before being able to go out of the airport of Yangyang in South Korea...
Then, it was necessary to be used to the 8 hours of jet lag. At the end of three days, we begin to find our rhythm!
As for the stadium, all the athletes are disappointed. There are works almost everywhere, a hill was downright cut in two to make the shooting range, what gives a mound of immense ground above the targets.
Everything seems "artificial", the landscape is completely distorted by infrastructures under construction. The track contains three big ascents, not the ideal for me but I shall do my best! The snow coverage is largely artificial, some flakes fell two days ago.
To finish on a more positive note, we were welcomed well, the accommodation and the organization of shuttles are good, quite as the atmosphere in the team!
21/02/08 Departure for Korea!
Some words before taking the plane tomorrow : thank you for your kind e-mails!
With three days in my Haute Maurienne where I "recharged batteries" (!),
I feel super motivated for these next weeks.
The morale and the shape are very good!
A small wink to our two cooks, who treated us in Sweden!

19/02/08 about my World Championships of Ostersund
Having won my ticket for the World Championships by classifying me 14th in the individual of Polkjuka, I left for Sweden taking a risk: to run only the individual, and thus to win my selection for the relay on a single race.
In spite of a lot of pressure and difficult conditions (irregular wind), I took a nice 24th place in this individual, with 18/20 in the shooting.
It is my best second place in the World Cup and I am very happy of it !
Regrettably, it was not enough: I was selected for none of both relays (mixed relay and women relay).
I thus ran only one race among six, and I am really disappointed.
These ten days in Sweden were difficult, especially for the morale.
I will now concentrate my energy on the last three World Cups, and apply what I worked during the numerous trainings in Ostersund;-).
6/02/08 Departure for Ostersund
with the encouragements of Bessans's municipality and of my club l'Etoile Sportive Bessanaise.
Very nice. Thanks a lot!
01/02/08 Customs tournament
On Wednesday and Thursday took place races of the Customs tournament. This year, the meeting was in Italy, in Val di Fiemme (Dolomiti). For the girls, two races of cross-country skiing in skate: a 5 km mass start, then a team sprint.
For the boys, a 10 km skate and a patrol mixing cross-country skiing and biathlon.
All the results here, on Nordic Aventure!
As we were training for the World championships, biathlètes-customs officers whom we are had to do the trip to Italy, to participate in the tournament.
The atmosphere was nice, we were happy to meet our colleagues long-distance skiers, combined and alpine, as well as the members of the official delegation who followed and encouraged us on all the races!
Now, 3 days of training in Les Saisies (France), and next week, go for the World Championships in Ostersund!

He is really good!

22/01/08 : a new page !
My identity card is now available in German.
Thanks to Vincent and Noémie for the translation!
20/01/08 : Anterselva
The third week of January took place in Anterselva, (Italy). I really wanted to make nice things on this tracks in height and without " big bumps " which were very convenient for me.
Regrettably, when the body is tired, it is also very sensitive to the viruses!
Beginning to be ill, I took the departure of the sprint, where I qualified myself for the pursuit with 2 missed targets and a 55th place.
Unfortunately, I paid this effort the next day which I spent in my bed, with fever and sore throat! Thus I was not able to participate in the pursuit.
I am now taking care of me, then I shall go on training. In the program of the next weeks : training for preparing the World Championships (Ostersund, Sweden) and the Tournament of the Customs in Val di Fieme (Italy).
11/01/08 : Sprint in Ruhpolding
With 4 faults (1 in prone, 3 in standing), and a good time in ski, I end 63rd.
I began fast, I tried " to engage" in shooting, that is to chain bullets quickly, with a fast installation.
In the training, I manage to do it, but today, I did not succeed.
I have to go on working in this direction, to go on making progress in ski and the results will follow!
9/01/08 : 4th in the relay, in Ruhpolding !
As our A team (Sandrine Bailly, Sylvie Becaert, Delphine Peretto) had to rest, the relay in Ruhpolding had to be done by the B team, that is to say, in the order, Marie-Laure Brunet, Julie Carraz-Collin, Marie Dorin and me.
We did our best for a quite good result !
At the beginning, Marie-Laure took place in the first ones, Julie confirmed, Marie maintained and gave me the relay in 4th postion, not very far from the Russians and before the Swedish!
With one extra ball in each shooting, I succeeded in resisting to the return of the Swedish Helena Jonsson and crossed the arrival line in 4th position, at about fifteen seconds of the podium !
We are all delighted, it is an extra experience that will bring us a lot for going on !
A big "Thank you" to our technical team for his work and for the confidence they put in us !
Now, objective recovery before the sprint of Friday !
7/01/08 : Ruhpolding
Looking back at a nice first week in Oberhof ...
Relay : In the mythical biathlon site of Oberhof, more than 20 000 spectators and a fabulous atmosphere ! There took place my first selection in the French relay !
Thanks to the great races of Delphine and Sylvie, I started for the third relay with the first position ! I am satisfied with my race : I had a good skiing, and, in shooting, I put my 3 "extra bullets" straight off.
I had a lot of pressure, and I feel happy to have managed it.
I gave the relay to Sandrine in 4th position, at about thirty seconds from the head.
With only 2 extra bullets, Sandrine cut the arrival line in second position !
Then the podium took place : with the other girls, it was a great moment !
Sprint : I am also very satisfied with my sprint, because in spite of 3 faults in the shooting, I ended in 25th position, that is to say "in the points".
In ski, it was a delight ! The technicians made a great job for the glide, (as usual !), I had good skis and the physical shape was good too !
We stay now in Ruhpolding, other "Mecca" of the biathlon.
The relay on Wednesday will be unusual, with Marie-Laure, Julie, Marie and me !
Happy New Year to everybody and soon here for other news !
December 2007
17/12 : coming back home !
We returned at night from Pokljuka (Slovenia).
My races were quite good !
In the individual, with 19/20, I took the 14th place, quite like last year in Hochfilzen !
But the context was different : in Hochfilzen, I arrived in the World Cup without any pressure, to discover the circuit.
This year, having escaped to return in European Cup, after my two missed races in Kontiolahti, I had to go up in the IBU classification to stay on the World Cup circuit in January.
So it it was necessary that I had a nice race !
I am thus very satisfied to have managed this pressure !
In the sprint, I finished 30th, with 2 faults. Not bad because I am "in the points" (that is to say in the 30 first places), but not enough to win my place in the French relay.
Now, some days of rest, then going on with the training.
There will be then a meeting, on December 26th, in the Show of Chamonix and a sprint, on the 28th in La Féclaz for the Biathlon Challenge !
In the meantime, I wish you a merry Christmas !
10/12 Arrival in Pokljuka
After 3 h 30 in bus, we arrived in Bled, in Slovenia. Bled is a pretty small town within a lake. The biathlon trails of Pokljuka are approximately at half an hour from here. We shall go tomorrow for the first trainings there. The next race, an individual, will take place on Thursday.
10/12 About my Hochfilzen races
The sprint : I am satisfied with my running because I began fast and I went on till the end in ski. In shooting, the prone was rather good, but, with 2 faults in standing, I could not hope to enter the points. I end 39th, with a good time in ski.
The good shape is coming back !
The pursuit : the snow conditions were a little bit special ; there was a strip of very gleaming snow, ice-cold limit, in the center of the track, and, on the edges, some wetter snow, which slid much less. It was thus very difficult to overtake, and the shooting was decisive in this race. After two good prone shootings, I got around the 34th place, but the standing shootings were harder (3 faults). I ended 47th.
These results are not exceptional, but I feel better and better on skis, and I take back slowly confidence in shooting.
01/12 First checkup
For me, it is a rather hard beginning... I am not in a good shape, and I lack confidence for shooting...
Fortunately, in spite of my not so good first races, I am in the 90 IBU points, so I can take part in the next World Cup in Hochfilzen (Austria). I'll try to rest a bit, waiting !
The season is only in its beginning, I'm lucky to partecipate in the World Cup with a "super team", so I keep a good morale.
Thanks for your emails supporting me : I'm glad to receive them, overall in this period !
Tomorrow, I shall be along the ski trail for supporting the other girls of the French team during their pursuit. On Monday, we'll fly to Austria.
November 2007
27/11 Kontiolahti (email)
We arrived yesterday in Kontiolahti (Finland).
This morning, one more time I saw the ski-tracks and the shooting rampe (I already came here, three years ago, for the World Junior Championships). The competition trail and the surroundings are well snowy, there are good conditions !
Tomorrow, official trainings, and Thursday, beginning of the season, with the 15 km individual at 11 : 30 here (10 : 30 in France) !
15-24/11 : training camp in Bessans
This was the last training camp befor the 1st World Cup. We were only girls because the boys were in Anterselva (Italy).
In the night of 14th-15th of November, Winter arrived really in Bessans ! There was, first, a skiing track of artificial snow, and suddendly the whole landscape was white !
We began this training camp in the best conditions.
A big cold ( - 20 °C during two days) followed to snow falls. Training was hard, but we could accustomed ourselves for going to Finland !
We skied a lot, working our technical points.
At the end of 10 days, we had a test on saturday 24th : I get a nice prone shooting but, with 2 targets missed in the standing shooting, I finished 4th.
I feel ready now to start the season : tomorrow, from Geneva, we leave for Finland !
Here some photos
French selections :
French selections for the first Worl Cup took place in Vassieu, on October the 28th and 29th, and November, the 1st and the 2nd.
For women, Sandrine Bailly and Sylvie Becaert are already selected, thanks to their top 30 range in the in the biathlon Worl Cup last season.
For the others, there were 4 races to do.
Finaly, Delphine Perretto, Marie Laure Brunet, Marie Dorin and me are selected !
It's a big relief to me !
Now, I will prepare myself for the first World Cup in Kontiolahti, without any pressure !
May 2007
11/05 End of the season with my club
A feast has been organised for telling thanks to people who supported me along the season : coaches, sponsors, friends... A video has been showed, about my victory in the mass start of the French championship in Le Grand Bornand, on april the 1st
.
